Biography

Dr Panagiotis Tsarchopoulos is working as a research associate at the Institute of Informatics and Telematics Institute (ITI) at the National Center for Research and Technological Development (CERTH). He is a Tenured Senior Teaching Fellow in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
His current research and publications focus on the design and development of web platforms for smart/intelligent cities, web and mobile technologies for new media, immersive storytelling, social media, open data, civic media and civic engagement.
He has participated in more than 30 research projects funded mainly by the European Commission.
