Biography

Dr. Nikolaos Gkalelis is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Information Technologies Institute of CERTH (ITI/CERTH) since 2017, and, he was a Research Associate and Postdoctoral Researcher at ITI/CERTH from 2008 to 2015. He has also worked in R&D for Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Siemens and ECB. He has been involved in more than 8 research projects funded by the EC.
His research interests include deep learning, machine learning, stochastic approximation, multimedia understanding, and financial signal processing. He has co-authored 4 papers in refereed journals, 1 book chapter, 23 papers in international conferences, and 1 patent. He serves regularly as a reviewer for many international journals and conferences.
